Lymphatic System and Female Hormonal Imbalance

As humans, our bodies make various hormones that help regulate our bodies. The lymphatic system is essential for keeping a hormonal balance and overall health. Hormonal balance is necessary to avoid other health issues. Sometimes the lymphatic system can cause hormonal imbalance.

What is the Lymphatic System?

The lymphatic system is comprised of a system of organs and tissues. This system produces, stores, and carries white blood cells. The white blood cells fight infections and diseases. The system that generates white blood cells includes the spleen, bone marrow, thymus, lymph nodes, and lymphatic vessels.    Lymphatic vessels are a network of branching small tube structures responsible for carrying lymph and white blood cells. They are much like the blood vessels that branch into all the tissues of the body. These vessels also remove toxins from the body.

What are the Main Female Hormones?

Of the female  hormones , the main ones are estrogen and progesterone.   Estrogen  is the hormone that controls physical features and reproduction.   Progesterone  is a steroidal hormone that plays a role in menstruation and early pregnancy.    These hormones have other functions as well.

Balance Between Estrogen and Progesterone

Estrogen and progesterone must be in balance since they work closely together. When the progesterone levels are too low, then estrogen is too abundant. This imbalance is a condition called " estrogen dominance ."    The majority of female hormone imbalance is estrogen dominance. Some conditions attributed to estrogen dominance include:
  • Fibroids
  • Fibro cystic breasts
  • Breast cancer
  • Hormonal headaches
  • Premenstrual syndrome
  • Heavy and painful menstruation
  • Irregular cycles
Most women in today's society have too much estrogen relative to progesterone in their system.

Accessing the Health of the Lymphatic System

Several forms of  diagnostic  test procedures for detecting irregularities in the lymphatic system are available. Some of these tests involve injecting a radioactive dye into your body. Others involve subjecting you to x-rays or radiofrequency radiation.    One diagnostic procedure involves no ingestion, x-rays, or radiofrequency radiation. Instead, it detects the heat emitted from your body.

Noninvasive Thermography for Lymphatic System Diagnoses

Methods of detecting lymphatic system flow are quite limited. And the methods for detecting how the lymphatic system affects hormonal balance are even fewer. Thermography is a safe, non-invasive screening tool that can help detect hormone imbalance caused by lymphatic system issues. Thermography can also help diagnose other medical problems.   CT Thermography  is your premier health screening thermography center.
